Cowley Wind Farm

Carbonzero has funded renewable energy development in Southern Alberta. This development has been certified as:

• non-detrimental to indigenous or migratory avian species;
• not located in an area that is protected for endangered or threatened avian species
• not causing excessive soil erosion

OMHM Energy Efficiency Project

Energy efficiency retrofit for social housing in Montreal, Quebec. This project has been certified to:

• Replace inefficient gas boilers in heating systems with new efficient units employing heating control.
• Build new energy efficient piping systems and switched heat generation systems from natural gas to electricity.

Additionally, the project has:

• installed solar heating units
• retrofitted buildings with heat recovery from domestic wastewater

Projects in Assessment

We are currently assessing the following projects for funding. We believe they represent the highest offset quality mandated by our project criteria:

• Solar thermal projects for buildings in Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario
• Biomass combustion for remote northern communities.
